For yoga teachers and trainee teachers who wish to teach specialist yoga for pregnancy classes, this 7 day course offers a unique synthesis of many less widely taught aspects of yoga for pregnancy, and enables teachers to meet the needs of pregnant students who come to pregnancy with an existing yoga practice, as well as those who are new to yoga. With contributions from midwives, and a detailed training manual, the course provides both the theoretical and practical training necessary to teach yoga classes specifically for pregnant women. Sessions will include mantra, mudra, nada yoga and pranavidya practices, encouraging you to think for yourself and to develop your own style and method of teaching pregnancy yoga within a clear framework of safety guidelines. This course also includes some time on the early stage of postnatal recovery.

The emphasis of the course is on supporting healthy pregnancy through appropriate holistic yoga practices. There will be opportunities for teaching practice, as well as informal assessments during the course and you should be prepared for both a short pre-course assignment and written work after each session.
